Lopputulos on arvaamaton.

Pencil drawing and sound

I have recently given much thought to the way I draw, pondering about the train of thought that takes place at the precise moment of drawing. At the moment I am fascinated by the simplicity of the drawing utensils and the character of the line. For a couple of years I have moved away from my starting point, the making of figurative images. I am currently working with images, on the one hand, and applying a conceptual method, on the other.

Pencil drawing and sound
Before I start, I choose a trajectory that I want to replicate in my drawing and decide how I will fill my chosen surface. How should I move by the drawing, and in what order shall I proceed?

The end result is unpredictable. Everything is built around the system I have chosen, and by using this system I also need to make choices both before and during the process. At some point, the trajectory starts to become distorted as the body and the mind get tired. Each mark will affect the following ones, and they will eventually form a kind of pattern that mirrors the state of my mind. Following a system will not guarantee success; it challenges your way of thinking, and in this way it also requires physical stamina.
